Thread: Hi! Anyone know how to pronounce "Sakaka"?

Hi...this time not actually bellydance related, but I'm doing a play, and the town of Sakaka is mentioned, but we're not sure how to pronounce it. Is the emphasis on the first, second or third syllable? 'Sa-ka-ka, sa-'Ka-ka or sa-ka-'Ka? Thanks for your help! ..g.:

I found it: this spelling was my guess also: سكاكة

Pronounce it with the emphasis on the 2nd syllable: sakaaka , regular s regular k, nothing fancy :)

My guess as well :) I would confirm with a native speaker in any case.

If this is the spelling, it's correct. Unless it's a different spelling...
