I thought it might be useful to start a thread of recommendations for good fabric suppliers.

I really want to order some fabric from spandexhouse, but I'm finding it difficult to limit myself to one or two costumes-worth! I need to finish some other projects first, then I can go wild there.

Holy cannoli! I just looked at the main page and I'm in sooo much trouble...I thought our local Joann's had cool fabric--this place rocks!

I love spandexhouse! I've been ordering from them for quite a few years now - always fast, courteous, and reliable. If you ever are in NYC, stop by the store - it is amazing sooooo much fabric - just room after room after room . . . . . .

Stretch world, spandex world, spandex house, stretch house....and I work near all of them. It takes all my concentration to sit here and work without thinking of frolicking in the aisles of stretch and sparkle.

I haven't dealt with them a lot, but I recently ordered some stretch satin from fabric.com and I was pretty happy with them.

I love fabric.com -- not a huge selection of costume-worthy fabrics, but what they have is lovely & the service & prices are wonderful.

I also like Fabrics And Trims For Performers! Murielle Roy & Co. Mail Order. for fabrics,sequins, stones etc.

I love Spandex house too. I have also heard good things about Sy Fabrics. I haven't ordered from their web site, but have purchased fabric from them through Ebay and have had good experiences. Here's the link:

OH, and bramakerssupply.com (okay, not fabric, but you can get all your bra findings there including underwires and channeling.

I have ordered from them several times and always been pleased. They send me color samples and their "yard" is a generous yard length. I usually end up with a couple of inches extra. The owner has been helpful to work with as well.
