1/2 inch!? that's really big sequin.....usually they are 6mm

Sometimes you see cording in 'S' shapes mingled with sequin strand going through it.

I have never made a full project out of the chainette, but I did attempt to use it for crochet jewelry and I just didn't like the color. It is exactly like chainette fringe and that is what I use it for. I make my own fringe belts and they are awesome!
It is a little silky/slippery for crochet, but I think once you get the hang of it it will work.
