Thread: Buying direct from Sim Moda

Hi Guy's -
I know someone around here must have experience w/ this. I want to buy directly from Sim Moda - much more varity & better prices than buying from Dahlal and waiting a year...

I'm concerned about them getting the sizing right. I'm small on the bottom & around the rib cage but I have a huge chest (yet again the insurance company said no to my reduction request but I'm going for it again till they get sick of me & say yes)

So - in the meantime I would like to get a new sim made - has anyone delt with irregular sizing issues with them???

I once ordered a group costume from them. OK, I went there in person, but basically just to choose the fabric and give them a piece of paper with the measurements written on them.
All 4 costumes fit perfectly.

It doesn't matter if your sizing is "regular" or not, they will just do what you tell them to.
It might be helpful to write down the measurements in centimeters as well and maybe add a picture to illustrate what you look like. Then leave the rest to them - or include a drawing of how you want them to sew the costume.

I've ordered 3 from Ismail over the years and I don't need to even move a hook. However, I also ordered 5 costumes for a group and his bras are not large enough for a DD and higher. We sent him a bra (expensive to ship) but it worked out much better.

I ordered from him in person in 2006. The costume arrived exactly as ordered - proper fit, correct fabric, exactly the right style, etc. I was very pleased with it! I don't know whether the bustline would be an issue - I'd go with Sabra's suggestion of sending a bra that's the correct size rather than expecting them to come up with one that fits.

By the way, you said elsewhere you're thinking of going to Egypt again this year. If you should decide to join Rocky's tour to both Turkey and Egypt, I'll let you tag along with me when I go to Sim Moda Evi!

Hi Sabra - I had to send a bra when I ordered from Topkapi so it figures I'll need to do the same for a Sim.

Hi Shira - I'm hoping to go to Egypt but not sure that I can commit to a tour due to my work schedule. If not AWS then turkey in the Fall
