Thread: best costume value EVER

I ordered a costume from bellydance with k and it just walked in the door. omg - this costume has to be the best costume bargain of all time. there are some left so I thought I'd post so you can snatch one up while you can. it's the turquoise one with the waist strap on the troupe costume page:

the beadwork and rhinestones are amazing. it's really well made. it fits me perfectly - karolinka's sizing descriptions are spot on. this costume is easily worth $400 and she's selling them for $260. ridiculous. I love it!! I have two costumes on order (coming, oh, someday in the next year... sigh) from hallah and dahlal, and I've totally been jonesing for a new costume RIGHT NOW. this was the perfect fix!

and I'm kicking myself that I missed the burgundy holo eman style costume for $170???? insanity. and nobody better order the orange ones on the troupe page before I get a chance at them. these are so perfect for inexpensively spicing up the variety of my restaurant wardrobe.

I've been eyeing the orange and waaaaaiting...I only want one! ;)

I have no need for big boobie ones, so no problem! Need a big-butted one tho. ;)

I also have to add - the costume was packaged smartly - she wrapped the bra and the heavily beaded parts in tissue paper, so there was no snagging. why can't everybody do that??

and I sent her an email thanking her for the costume and telling her how much I loved it, and she sent me a nice personal email back thanking me for thanking her. :) aaaahhhh. I love doing business with people like karolinka!

Aw....man! I LOVE this site! For the longest time I thought it was the best-kept secret for cheap, gorgeous cabaret costumes. But it's getting so popular, everyone snaps the costumes up before I get them!

I love this website. The costumes are very reasonably priced and K is very quick to ship. However, I am an impatient person and I can't stand waiting so long for new shipments to post so I usually end up spending my money on something else before anything new gets put on the site. I know she is a busy women though. Often when new stuff is finally posted I am sad that my money is gone.

Me too! I'm always so sad when the ones I like have the 'sold' post. And she's great to do business with. I bought a gorgeous fusion dress from her and have loved it!

K is awesome! When I needed a set quickly, she got it here. I sent a thank you email and got a personal email back as well. Truly a wonderful vendor!!

I'll add to her wonderfulness! She was SO backlogged in December-January and she apologized PROFUSELY several times to me and also sent me a small gift certificate (I waited over a month). She really aims to please!

I had to wait about 6 months before I FINALLY snagged something before someone else ;)

K has always been awesome to deal with. I am overseas and have had to do business by cell phone with an explosion or two in the background and she was so patient and professional. Highly reccomended...

I love her costumes and I love her service but I don't understand why so many of the costumes are still posted long after they were sold. I hate looking at a costume only to see that it is no longer available.
I also love the personal touch but her business has grown so quickly she needs to hire some help.

I think she leaves them up there because without them she wouldn't have much of a site! She usually only lists a few at a time, and they disappear quickly.

By leaving sold costumes up, a new visitor can get a very fast idea of the type of merchandise and prices she offers so they know it's worth bookmarking the site and checking back often. But you're right, it hurts to look at the deals you missed out on!!

I love her site too, but I just can't stand that there is NEVER anything in my size. Things get snapped up too quickly. Is there a way around this? Or do you literally have to wait until a new post and cross your fingers that you're the first one to send her money???

Yes, sadly. I usually check her site once a day just in case. A lot of her costumes also come from Joharah International, so if I can't wait, I will contact Joharah to see if she has anything in my size - it is catch as you can though because she doesn't have pics of the costumes up on her site. The quality is fantastic though. There is also an authorized ebay distributer of Joharah costumes. I think she lists them and K on her website at Joharah International - Belly Dance Costumes and supplies, selling to retail, wholesale and distributor levels

K and Joharah ROCK!!! They provided me with 36 costumes for my dance company in less than a month!! And they were so pretty and reasonable!!! I talked to Joharah a few days ago, she is in Egypt right now making the new season of costumes, I special ordered for my troupe again, I can't wait, so keep your eyes glued to K's website, not sure when the new designs will hit, but the prices are the best!!!!

I, too like Karlinka's site. I newly became a distributor for Joharah in February. I am the only one in the Northwest, and I am not sure if I am the only one on the west coast?? I have been very slow at getting my website up and running, but I love the way Karolinka does hers and I may do something similar! I like seeing the SOLD costumes....maybe I just like to drool, too! They give you great ideas for making your own costumes :) And deals, yes, I also like to move costumes so that I can get the new seasons....I have some in stock right now, but just haven't had time to take pictures.....one of these days.... Look for the deals!!
