Thread: Legend Costume - Anyone ordered from?

I don't know if this is the right place to post this thread...but I was wondering whether anyone has ordered a costume from Legend costumes. I like the style and designs and their prices are pretty good. Any feedback on quality of costume, communication, turn around?

They are Fantastic! I have ordered several times and they are always on time and great quality!

I too love the designs. Good to hear that they are great to work with.

What are their prices? I can click on the pic but it doesn't have a price and I haven't heard back from them.

I've visited the one www.legendcostumes.com. It has a lot of photos of dancers that have bought their costumes.

If you click on the ad of the lovely girl here on bhuz...says SHIMI...that's the one...the link above as well. I feel that the costumes I have received are of the highest quality..and I LOVE them all.

I believe the prices are around $900. I enquired about some costumes and was given a quote within a couple of days. Legend costumes are gorgeous!!! They seem to use a lot of crystals too-so very sparkly and very comfortable

Hmm. I think they look a lot like Sim, and I know you can order directly from Sim (aka Oriental Originals on Dahlal) for around $700 incl. shipping. Is Legend better quality?

I liked mine very much, sold on now to a girl who was equally happy. Very good workmanship and service.

I sent a first e-mail requesting a price estimate. She wrote back 1,5 days later and apologized for responding so late!!! Wow, is she Swiss?? ..l;,

Anyway, I asked for a costume that is a bit less elaborate than others she has on her website because I want a light costume for travelling (flying).
My costume design is based on this one: SHIMI
with several changes.
I've never had an animal print costume and right now I am all in love with multi-color beads, so I chose her since she does a lot of colorful costumes.

She says it will cost about € 450.- incl. shipping. But a friend of mine will pick it up for me from them (there's always one of us going to Istanbul at any time of the year...) so maybe I can safe a bit of money there.

Lead time is 3-4 weeks, which is amazing compared to the 3-4 months it takes to get a Sim from Dahlal. SOLD! I'll post pics when I get my new Legend. I think I'm hooked!

I think there are two different costume houses that both have the word 'Legend' in them and people get them confused all the time.

There's Legend Costumes, which is Shimi.

And there's the Marta the Legend Luxury Line from Bauchlanden.

Which one are you referring to?

Ha I was off then. They are definitely worth $750. I have 2 legends and they are so sparkly and comfortable ..g.:

A friend of mine is picking up my costume from Legends TODAY.
I can't wait to get it!!!!
She's coming back in a few days, I'll tell you how it is as soon as she brings it over!

It's here! And it's great!
This is what it looked like straight out of the plastic bag:


There's a second option for the arms:



I wanted something that is completely different from my other costumes - and it is!

As you can see, it fits quite well. The only thing I had to fix is to remove some extra material on the sides of the bra cups to make them fit better.
And I might move one hook on the belt and make the gauntlets tighter. But that's all.

And if I ever grow tired of the animal print, this is what I could do:

Bra-belt sets are just so more versatile than bra-skirt sets. Especially this multi-color one.
That's also why I went wild with the colors. I don't plan to get another costume very soon, so I wanted one that I could use in different ways. Hence also the two versions for the arms. Summer and Winter ..g.:
Oh, and the colors look kind of pale in these pictures, actually they are very vibrant - and glittery of course!

I also like that there is a wide chest band on the bra. Gives more emphasis to the upper body, which I need.

I have another one ordered from Legend...and have had many made by them...they are really my favorite!
