    you all are hilarious! :) Made my day! I must admit I too assumed this was about another poor sewing machine biting the dust due to a glitterdot mishap. Glad to hear the was not the case. ;)

    "Glitter dot" refers to fabrics with flat sequins fused onto the surface in patterns. I've also seen it called "disco dot." There are lots of fabrics on the market with reflective designs of fused, circular sequins, and not all of them are created equal, but when dancers talk about "glitter dot," especially in a disparaging way, they typically mean this kind of fabric, which looks very sparkly from a distance, and cheap and synthetic up close.
