Thread: pearl in navel

i know its not very authenthical and oriental...but i adore putting pearls or rhinestones inside my navel ...problems??: the belly rolls are their enemies because each time i do them the rhinestone falls down and i feel like a fool


are there any tips to get them attached to the navel???,m::

Spirit gum is definitely the answer. But after having my navel pierced I never have to worry about that anymore.

This is exactly why I got my naval pierced-one less thing to worry about malfunctioning during a performance..l;, Plus I can interchange and wear really nice jewelery that goes with whatever costume I am wearing not just something that you glue in once and has to go with all your costumes for the evening..g.:

What is/where can I get spirit gum, please???

I got my last bottle from ebay.

Spirit Gum is a product which is used in theatre to adhere special effect things to bodies - noses, chins, etc. For dancers it's great for jewels, bindis, tikkas, etc.

I get mine from a theatrical make up store.

...what is the name of the best spirit gum???

???..c:: Not sure there would be a "best". To me that's kind of like asking what's the best... rubbing alcohol (turpentine, witchhazel, linseed oil, hydrogen peroxide.... or anything else of such a basic nature). Maybe another Bhuzzer has an answer to this question.

I find all spirit gum is about the same.

False eyelash adhesive is easier to find and works great. Any beauty supply place carries it, and I think WalMart does as well.

I wear a pearl (dangling on a gold bar) but mine is pierced so... I suggest getting it pierced but I'm guessing that may not be an option for you. sorry not much help.
