Re: Does anyone deal with adult acne?

I have to weigh in on this. I had (still have sometimes) adult break outs too. Nothing topical worked for me because the "eruptions" (ewww, but that's what the derm. called them) were deep under the skin. I just had the bumps that felt like a pimple but never surfaced, so topical treatments only served to dry my skin out. I have oily skin to begin with and I second the vitamin (omega 3) idea. Also, I used a vitamin from Target of all places calle "Hair, Skin Nails" in a pink bottle by Nature's Bounty. The calcium in it is not the best, but over all my homeopath said it's okay to use. It's not a premium vitamin, but it made a difference for me and it's affordable.

Glad to see you are going to see a derm. Everyone's skin is so different and throw in hormones, diet, etc and whew!! Let us know what works for you.

What worked for me was defferin and benzoclyn (both perscriptions) Good luck

I get tons of those!!! Some will say they can't see my breakouts but I have a range of hills and mountains under the surface, with occasional erupts of of blackheads and whiteheads. I am 41 years old and still using products for oily skin (I could probably bottle it and sell as a natural moisturizor). I've used proactive and a few others and they were not much help at all. I have just started using the Tree Tea line from The Body Shop. So far I really like the way it feels on my skin, less oil through the day and my skin looks brighter. So now I'm hoping it will soon help with the acne as it seems to be going well so far! (fingers crossed).

I haven't even used it for a week and already my skin is SO much better!!!

The only strange thing is that they also include 2 products in this set that have "normal to oily skin" written on them. Which of course leaves me with very dry skin...
I will have to save these up and use them in the summer time.

Anyway, thanks so much for the tip! I should have taken a "before" picture to compare with the "after" but really, I don't want to go back and look the way I did a week before...

Itīs GOOD STUFF!Glad it worked for you too:)

The best about her is that she recommends cheap stuff from other brands I can find in the supermarket-with great results!

Paula Begounīs dislike for shiny, colorful eyeshadows/liners and dewy skin is legendary...but otherwise I agree with her ideas and concepts.

I've now been using the Olay cleanser & toner for about 2 months & taking the fish oil for 3 weeks. I'm thrilled to report that my skin is now in the best shape it's been in the past 30 years! I've had no active breakouts, and none lurking below the surface waiting to errupt. Of course I'm due to start my period next week, so that will be the true test. But I'm optimistic that I've finally put my lifelong battle with acne behind me.

Oh! And the best part.... I'm spending less than half of what I was paying for the ProActiv. ..g.:

I donīt follow Perriconeīs 100%-but I believe that berries(blueberries or raspberries)and fatty fish(salmon or mackerel) is very beneficial for my skin.

Salmon sushi, sugarfree berry smoothies, mackerel sandwiches and the likes is in my daily diet-
and I donīt dare stop because I love the way my skin looks now!
