Thread: Expensive cairo costume disasters

This is a spin off from another thread, a comment made by Candi. I don't have anything to add :-) But I was hoping others might tell their stories so we can all learn what to avoid.

I can tell you about my biggest disaster. I was determined to have something really special so I went to Halla Mustapha because I love the costumes she has done for Yasmina and others. i chose the costume I wanted it was a two piece costume with sort of a ghawazee coat over it.I was thrilled with the design.It cost £500!!!Money well spent thinks I, because it will be so special the design was beautiful.
However it took six months to come,looked nothing like the original design and did not either suit me or fit me, by the time it arrived I had lost weight (though that wasn't her fault but if it had arrived when supposed to it might have still fit. I sold it at a great loss to get it out of the house.Even now I can remember it arriving ,getting it out of the box and bursting into tears.
After that I vowed never to buy anything I had not tried on first.
