Mistura Makeup: Too good to be true?

Apparently it is one product that works with all skin complexions and colours to create an airbrushed finish.

    Mistura Beauty Solutions.

    I'm a skeptic here...

Don't tell me. It's a foundation, a blusher, a bronzer, an eyeshadow, a lip colour, a nail polish and an all over body tan, and its secret is in the thousands of luminous spheres that reflect the light?

Sounds like Natural Glow only paler to me.

The website says that it can be turn into a lipstick very easily:

...Within seconds, you will have a custom lip colour to match your face.

Hum, but if my lips match my face, meaning it's the same color????
    What the use???

And the picture of the wowen who illustrate the finish result, she just looks to me like she has a hot flash!

The thousands of luminous spheres! Revealed!

At least tacky old Natural Glow doesn't pretend to be high class. It effectively makes you slightly orange, and the more you wear the older and more orange you appear. It's actually good as a stage body bronzer, just not on your face.

Re: Mistura Makeup: Too good to be true?

    I am very skeptical about products like these. In my experience, every product I've tried that's supposedly for "all skin types and colors" does nothing but look ashy on my face. For some reason, the "all skin colors" never seems to include anyone who's ... I don't know ... brown!,r:;

I would love to get my hands on this stuff and review it for my blog! I have no doubt that it would not live up to its hype.

Re: Mistura Makeup: Too good to be true?

Hi ladies. I am the creator and President of Mistura Beauty Solutions. I came to this website (which I must admit is very interesting) to find out why it came up as a huge referral site on our recent Google report. I joined in order to track down the blog. Having just launched in Canada in March...I am always keen to know when our company name is being used. It helps for marketing purposes.
What I had anticipated would be an enjoyable read (even though I would have enjoyed both criticism and praise equally) turned out to be a slight disappointment. Not because it's my company...that took over one year to build with every penny I had....but because there seems to be quite a few misconceptions and misrepresentations that effectively paint our company and our business in a very unfortunate light. It would not bother me had any of you actually tried our products...but none of you have written any opinions based on experience. Is this not comparable to writing a restaurant review without eating the food first?
This product is not available at Chinese food take aways nor does it turn your face orange and polish your floors. It won't help you lose weight nor will it help you grow thicker hair. All it will do is give you an incredible airbrushed glow regardless of your skin type and colour. As simple as that. On your lips...the colour changes dramatically. Somtimes it's chocolate brown...othertimes it is peach. It depends on your complexion. Some of our best customers are black and because of this....we were featured in AMOI magazine last month.

We spent a lot of time and money building a tasteful website with true photos and a corporate identity that thousands of women have come to know. There are never any special offers and you will never see me flashing up on your television screen at 2am in an infomercial. Our company caters to a classier demographic than that.

Instead of wondering...why not ask for samples? Or better yet...BUY it and then come back in time to make an honest entry?

I would be happy to send each of you a free sample compact to try. If you follow our instructions properly...you will look better than you ever have...with half the hassle, cost and effort. You can email us anytime at info@misturabeauty.com.

I must admit...the "coffee sweetener" comment was cute but unfortunately not at all true.....

    Regards,

    Andi

    Kina,

Honestly...I must live in a different world than you.

I came here for legitimate reasons. There were hundreds of hits last week because of this blog. That wasn't my spam marketing...that was all of yours. Google Analytics brought this reality to my attention and I dutifully came here to see what this was all about. I don't even know what spam marketing is...but I will be sure to look it up when I am done here.
I am a hard-working mother and an honest business person. I replied, as I have every right to, as fairly and honestly as possible. I was under the impression that this was a website that celebrated women...their achievements and their businesses.
As a result...I am mystified as to why you would respond so negatively. I could never see myself speaking to someone like that without merit; or better yet...another woman.

My life experiences have not left me so jaded.

Best wishes to all of you and thank you for the comments. While I don't understand many of them...it has been intreguing none the less.

you came here in response to hits to your website. which I have not visited, nor have I used or discussed your products.

you came on here to find out why there were so many hits to your website. No problem with that, but then you read this thread and feel free to chide people for light comments about your product.

My comment was on your chiding and marketing of your product. If another person, oh, forgive me, you claim to be a woman, if a woman markets herself and then complains about how her product is percieved, she might be better served to evaluate her thoughts and comments before publicly broadcasting them -v- crying that her product got tons of free advertising.

Re: Mistura Makeup: Too good to be true?

    Kina,

You are right. This was a stupid mistake. Next time an unusual website comes up...I will resist the urge to investigate. Evidently, an explanation or clarification is not what some readers want. That was my error in judgement. I have a very personal relationship with most of my customers and it is my face behind our products. As a result...I think nothing of responding to queries or comments. It never occured to me that there would be unwarranted anomocity for what appears to be very little reason other than a simple response.

In closing, this is the farthest thing from advertising Kina and has nothing to do with marketing. If only it were that easy...

    Once again, I'll back off.

Sorry to have imposed on your group.

    Andi

I'm actually glad the owner came here. I've contacted the company and, if they are willing, I will try and review the product. I will review it honestly, both pros and cons. We'll see!

Re: Mistura Makeup: Too good to be true?

Hey guys, I've tried Mistura and I love it.

It is definitely the same idea as Go Natural -- but it's a far better product. Just for fun, my sisters and I did half our face with Mistura and the other half with Go Natural, and the difference was obvious: "brick/orangey/hard-looking/obvious" were the comments on the Go Natural side, "pearly/subtle/gorgeous/soft" were the verdicts on the Mistura side.

Their motto, Beauty Simplified, is the absolute truth. I really enjoy making up with Mistura in the morning and even more so, perhaps, I LOVE touching up throughout the day with it. At the risk of sounding like an info-mercial, I can tell you that in 1 minute, I'm fresh-faced, sun-kissed, glossy-lipped, and wide-eyed with well-defined brows (it makes excellent brow-filler too).

And it really is fascinating to see what the product ends up looking like on each different complexion -- it truly is great on each one. Everyone I know who uses it loves the pearlescent finish on their skin, the subtle glow, and the convenience factor. It would definitely be far too minimal a look for performance, but for everyday beauty, it's an excellent product.
