    Advanced Level DVDs??

Can anyone reccomend some good Advanced level DVDs with maybe some good layering drills, for strength and stamina, or even some choreos??
I have quite a few DVDs that i love but I find that I am in need of more of a challenge to get me off this platue I seem to be on. I take a weekly class, but its fairly basic ( wich is great cuz you should never stop practicing the basics). but i would really love to "kick it up a notch" at home
    any suggestions????

What style of dance do you do?

Yasmina Ramzy and Hadia have some great stuff for more advanced Oriental dancers, but I don't know much about fusion, etc.

If fusion a la the indigo is your style, you could try Suhaila Salimpour's fitness series. And Asharah's Modern Tribal has you drilling figure 8s while standing on one leg.

I absolutely love Zahra Zuhair's advanced class dvd, has combos and drills, and it's very egyptian, she studied with Raqia Hassan.... 2 thumbs UP!

Jamila al-Wahid's drum solo choreography video teaches an advanced-level choreography

Keti Sharif's World Dance Aerobics video is a workout based on belly dance moves that uses fairly advanced-level combinations, and workouts can serve as drills.

Keti Sharif's Advanced A-Z is a series of step combinations suitable for more advanced level of dancers.

Ava Fleming's Sizzling Hips/Sizzling Torso are pretty advanced (one-sided ribcage slides anyone?), but she breaks things down very thoroughly. Good workout, good ideas -- they've helped me improve quite a bit!

    Re: Advanced Level DVDs??

I have both of the 21 shimmies dvds. I think the second one has more layering. Both can be pretty challenging if it is a new shimmy to you as she takes all sorts of movements and turns them into a shimmy. But I think the sequel (21 MORE shimmies) is a bigger challenge, more advanced.

Also Zahra Zuhair's and Tamra Henna's combinations DVDs (the ones out on IAMED) are both pretty good. I'm not sure if they are considered "advanced" or not, but they are Egyptian and they are fun.

LOVE IT! I have the first one not the second one tho. There are shimmies on the first that I am still trying to master before I even want to try the second one. You will definitly get a good work out!
