Dhalal *sigh*
I placed a custom order with Dahlal in April. So about a month and a week ago. On the website it says that my order is "processing." I called last week to see why it was still processing and the man I spoke to (I forget his name, but he answers the phone every time I call) said that it was a glich in the system and assured me that my costume had moved along in whatever and was no longer "processing." He said it would be fixed on the website. It hasn't. Should I call again to check up? After hearing stories about Dahlal, I kind of get the feeling that he is just pulling my leg/telling me what I want to hear. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Dahlal are fab if the costume they have is in your size. if it's not and you are custom ordering oh dear!!!In all fairness it's not their fault Egyptian costumiers are not good at costume orders, They are not that fab if you go there in person(to the Egyptian costumiers) and custom order, from another countries custom orders well!! they take a back seat away from custom orders made in person directly from them in Egypt. It's so difficult, but the best thing to do is buy a costume that fits from a vendor. I know how rubbish that sounds but as a non ordinary size I've so learned the hard way. honestly you are better browsing the used costume threads,or making a thread of what you want or hoping you'll be lucky at the hafla bazaars or saving up and going to Egypt- don't waste your money custom ordering from a third party-too problematic and disasterous. from the money I've wasted I could have made at least a couple of trips more to Egypt. Sorry to be negative but this is my experience.Good luck

Re: Dhalal *sigh*
I've already placed the order and made my first payment, so I believe it's a little too late. I do browse the swap meet pages, but I have never found anything in my size or anything that could possibly be altered down to my size. I also need a specific color for my troupe, so that adds to the difficulty.

If it's a custom order, it will say "processing" on the website until the costume actually arrives in the shop. I had the same question awhile back.
