In relation to the Boobs Without Surgery thread
This is somewhat embarrassing but I know anyone out there that has breastfed knows exactly what I'm talking about. I stopped nursing 2 months ago, and my gals are now somewhat floppy. They used to be quite perky, but now they're floppy. ,f:: I remember a friend of mine could grab her A cups by the nipples and fling them up and down like streamers. Mine aren't that floppy, but you get the idea.
My question is; how do I keep them from flopping out of costumes? The last thread mentioned double-sided tape, but I'm allergic to adhesive. Any other suggestions?

Once you've nursed a few kids, you're not left with boobs...they're tubesocks! ..l;, ..c::
My only suggestion is pad like crazy!

Also work in strengthening the muscles in the breasts and use lots of moisturizing lotion to help encourage the elasticity in the skin. Firming lotion is good.

Unfortunately nothing short of surgery will firm them up again. I would suggest making sure that the cup of the bra has a nice snug fit. That way it will contain everything properly.

Hang in there with hope that they might get better. My boobs did not get lifted again until one year after i quit nursing. If you quit nursing little by little for a long period of time, chances are that they will go back to what they used to look lie, or similar. Wear a tight sportsbra during the day, moisturize and work the chest and back muscles, it might work and doesn´t do any harm anyway. The body always needs time to adjust so give it time. Eating raw coconut oil (organic one that you can eat and put one your body) might work also, since it contains essential fatty acids that the muscles benefits from.
hope the perkiness comes back. :)Last edited by fayzah; 05-24-2008 at 07:32 AM.

Re: In relation to the Boobs Without Surgery thread
I nursed my daughter 14 months and did ultimately end up with a shape I was, still am, quite happy with. (Without surgery.) Stretched skin does not return to being just as it was before, but it does shrink back quite a lot. This just happens very gradually. I think it's important to wear good supportive bras, regardless of your size. I mean all the time, not just with dance costumes but all day every day. If the the breasts spend plenty of time not being dragged on by any weight, I believe this helps to hasten the shrinkage and then continue to maintain the most youthful possible shape.

Re: In relation to the Boobs Without Surgery thread
Thank you so much ladies! I'm going to get re-fitted for a bra this weekend since my old ones are now too big. I'm hoping they perk back up to a C cup, but for now they're at a B (which is fine).
I'll do some pushups to help tone as well. I think these are all great suggestions and are greatly appreciated!

Re: In relation to the Boobs Without Surgery thread
hey there miss floppy -
I'd be happy to share with you any time the journey my boobs have taken during 6 and a half years of gestating and lactating. ;) it took a good two years after my first was born for my body to settle back to normal (or, I should say, the new normal). give yourself some time (LOTS of time) - your body still probably has a few more changes to go through.
in the meantime, pad like crazy. I think as long as there is enough padding at the bottom of the cup so your boobs are snug up against the top line of your costume, you should stay in just fine.
I wonder if misting a little water on the lining of your bra would help your skin adhere? like how costumes don't slip once you get sweaty? you could get fancy and use rose water or something. mmm!

Ooh! I have a bottle of rose water on hand too! I spray it in my hair before a performance, just in case I dance close to someone; want everything smelling good. I'll bring a bra I have to rehearsal tomorrow to get your suggestion. I'm having a hard time stuffing it do to the shape.

I nursed my daughter for a year. You know what works for me? Duct tape! I know that sounds weird, but it's true!..l;,

Re: In relation to the Boobs Without Surgery thread
Similar story here... I nursed continually for 3 years between 2 kids.
Started with an A cup - grew to a C - then shrunk to absolutely nothing!!!
Good news tho - over time they can regain their shape. I'm now a almost a B again (5 years post nursing).
