Re: The Daily Plate
You never see a fly stuck to a piece of fly paper yelling "go around! go around!"
Good one...that yellow paper hanging from the naked light bulb cord
was my fly control method in another life..in another state...
Down by 4 this AM...must a been the brownie shock that did it!

Re: The Daily Plate
I know Gorgine.. I go in waves. For the most part, I am a chronic undereater, which puts my body into starvation mode.. I know that. Then I shift to the other spectrum (im sure it has something to do with my menstrual cycle) Where I eat anything that is not nailed down. I am really trying to get that target range of calories in. It's such a battle!!!

Re: The Daily Plate
Indeed it's me! LOVE LOVE LOVE TDP.
Sorry, I've been kinda MIA from Bhuz for a while...
Im a gold member now;) Lauren, as a gold member, you get this week at a glance view, where you can drag and drop items into your plate. no searching, etc. It also shows foods and exercies you eat/do often so less time futzing with it. You can also create your own meals.
Im not sure what FitDay has anymore, but it didnt have all that jazz when I was there. :)

Re: The Daily Plate
I've struggled with an eating disorder since I was 14.
I dont think you should eat 1900 calories if you think you cant. Increase your intake by 200-300 calories, just like they tell you to do if your loosing weight. Slowly and with patience and love. And just because you can eat a banana split doesnt mean that you should. I believe you are what you eat.
Eat clean and healthy and you will be clean and healthy :)
Much love,
S

Re: The Daily Plate
Thanks for posting Sumaya. If it hadn't been for you, I never would have found TDP. I like it alot. I'm not a gold member, but I'm enjoying the site none-the-less. I dropped a ton of weight the first week, but these last two haven't been as successful. I'm hoping my body is just trying to get caught up and figure out I'm serious about this.

Re: The Daily Plate
Just be patient with yourself. Ive lost over 20 lbs, but I started in March 06. Its not reality, the Biggest Looser and all that.
And honestly the only thing that works for me is 30 minutes of running (outside), 30 minutes of weight lifting and watching what I eat DAILY. Its time consuming but its worth every minute.
You have to figure out your own chemistry and what works fails. The good thing about those sites is that it stores your information so you can see for yourself what changes occur and why.

Re: The Daily Plate
Thanks Sumaya, you mentioned the TDP in another thread back in march. I started in april and it works great. As you say "slowly and with patience and love" it works. I dropped nine pounds so far, I feel a lot better and my eating habits are changing slowly.

Re: The Daily Plate
Just curious, I have been bi$$hing a bit on this thread about the scale not moving at all. It's been 21 days since starting TDP and still none. Has this happened to anyone else? I am reminding myself what you said, Sumaya, "Patience and Love"
Something will happen eventually...right?....c'mon I'd settle even for losing a bit of water weight-ANYTHING
