Thread: Making a Ghawazee Coat

Several people have asked me about the ghawazee coat I'm wearing at my latest performance. I posted some pics and commentaries on the process of making at my website. You can see them here.

Cool! I've been wanting to sew a Ghawazee coat... now that the temperature is getting regularly into the 90s, I think I'll consider different ways of "dancing covered up" for awhile...

It's always a good idea to sew up a prototype in cheapy fabric before ducking your scissors into that expensive brocade, or whatever! You know where all the trouble is and can adjust for it beforehand.

Thanks! You know what's funny? The actual coat is also a prototype made of cheap fabric :))) I used fake wild silk taffeta that was sold in curtains section of the fabric store.
