piched nerve
So, I woke up one morning with my shoulder/upper back area all in a kink. Figured it would resolve in a few days. Well now we are going on 2 1/2 weeks and it is still killing me and now my arm and fingers keep getting all tingly. I'm pretty sure it is a pinched nerve. Anyone have any advice on things to help it? I am going to see the chiro on Fri. Do you think a massage would help it? Working at my desk or comp makes it a lot worse. Ugh!,m::

Re: piched nerve
I had a pinched nerve between my neck and shoulder once. I fooled around for a few weeks with chiro and massage and muscle relaxants, all of which proved useless. Finally got a prescription for physical therapy and they put my neck in traction. That did the trick. I still have some minor residual numbness--very minor--which I chalk up to the delay in finding effective treatment.
And you're right, deskwork is the worst for this kind of thing. Do you find that if you drape your arm over the back of your head, the pain is eased a bit? I was doing that, which helped the PT zero in on what the problem was.
