Thread: Beading Resources?

So, after making lots of tribaly costumes, I've finally decided to take the plunge and graduate on to beading a cabaret costume (what can I say, you ladies are inspiring!!! ,r:; )

Does anyone have any resources on beading? I'm looking for two things:
1. How to make beaded fringe (in the past I've strung beads, used a finisher, and then run the needle back through but that doesn't seem right...)

2. Bead onto the costume...I'm not necessarily planning on using sequins, but would rather like to do beadwork that's more 3-dimensional like I've seen on some Bellas...

I'm mostly looking for online resources as I doubt I have the $ right now to buy books...

I would check with your local bead shop. Most of the ones around here have plenty of books to sift through and/or borrow. That's generally where I start if I want to learn a new technique. Unfortunately I generally make jewelry, not costumes, although the temptation is sneaking up on me. If I find anything else, I'll let you know.
