    DHC products?

I am in the market for new facial care/cleansing products. My sister really likes and recommends the products from DHC ( DHC FOR BEAUTY AND HEALTH: Skincare ) they are on the pricier side -for me anyway- but I would spend the money if they really worked that great. Anyone else have any opinions or experience with these products? Thanks!

    :) Heather

    Re: DHC products?

I would recommend more affordable Korean or Japanese skincare products!
The concept of asian double cleansing(with water soluble oil and a mild foaming gel/mousse)made a big difference for me.

Kanebo,Kose and Shiseido drugstore items are easy to find on Ebay.

A typical asian skin care routine:
    1.Double cleansing.
    2.Mild exfoliation.
3.Mask(I use Laneiges Water Pack Plus,or Paula´s Choice Carbon Mask after a hard night, but mostly to just pamper)
    4.I skip toner.
5.Essence or serum(Juju Hyaluronic Acid and Paula´s Choice serums are good)
    6.Moisturizer.(Night:Alpha Hydrox Souffle-Day:Sofina´s Perfect UV)

I dont notice that costly brands like DHC or Shu Uemura gives me any better results than cheaper drugstore products like:
Kanebo Hadabisei Clear White Cleansing Oil 150ml - eBay (item 110230796813 end time Jul-03-08 18:18:22 PDT)

Shiseido TISS Deep Off Cleansing Oil 230ml - Jumbo Size - eBay (item 200215105067 end time Jul-09-08 03:52:47 PDT)

Using a washing powder(enzyme peeling) instead of the cleansing gel a few times a week is better than harsh bead scrubs for me.

These two are almost exactly the same product with a different price tag:

Kanebo Silk Peeling Powder 40g/1.3oz - eBay (item 230262574486 end time Jul-15-08 22:50:39 PDT)

FANCL Washing Powder 50g w/Foaming Ball - eBay (item 220155253623 end time Jun-25-08 01:25:39 PDT)

Hope that helps both your skin and your wallet:)

    Hugs Emma

    Re: DHC products?

I used DHC for a while. Liked the cleansing products (especially the olive oil cleansr), was not impressed with the creams.

Here's a review that I mostly agree with
    https://www.beautypedia.com/Brand.aspx?id=260

They tried to build up the brand in Switzerland but had to stop after a while, apparently there wasn't enough interest.

    I agree Meissoun...
Watersoluble oil cleansers are a great addition to any skincare routine(especially dancers can remove stage makeup and sebum easy),
but otherwise it´s a lot of sale gimmicks there too.

Give me a well formulated, low ph AHA cream or gel+a good non greasy sunscreen+a working retinol product+gentle cleanser...and I´m happy with my problem-free skin!
From any brand,at any cost(the ones who work for me are quite cheap)

I am a loyal Kanebo user, I've used their line for at least 6 years, and nothing else comes close, they are a Japanese silk company from the 1800's and they incorporate silk into their product, because silk holds something crazy like 10x or 100x it's weight in water, which means true hydration, which is the key to healthy skin.

I love DHC's velvet skin coat. Does anyone know a similar product on the market?

I got a sample of the Velvet skin coat also and found it is the same as the base perfector I order with my Sheer Cover make up. I get it for 14.95 as a member I think it is 22.50 for non members so in fact DHC's is cheaper by $2. But I like them both same.

    Re: DHC products?

I got some samples of DHC products once and really liked them, but never purchased them due to the price. I use neutrogena's products which do not aggravate my sensitive skin, they were also recommended to me by a dermatologist.
