Thread: good lace up dance sandals?

anyone know of a good online source for lace up dance sandals that might just sell the soles? or where you can remove/replace the laces?

a sandal that is good for dance and also street wear would be extremely cool...??

She has lovely leather sandals in fun solid colors (10 + 3 metallics, free US shipping), some remind me of your veils. You can order extra laces or even use your creativity and use ribbons and leather strips from a shoe repair shop. I knew a dancer that used round elastic for laces. Mesmera's sandals are butter soft leather and have durable soles. She wears them when teaching and performing. I heard from a sponsor that she often wears them when flying to events although I have not witnessed it.

Of course Hermes sandals but I do not find those comfortable.

Aruba's Oasis Sandals and Hair Accessories I think she has a rubberized sole that is good for streetwear as well as the leather.

I second Aruba's sandals. I have 3 pairs (all black, silver and gold) and I couldn't be happier.

I wear Native Earth sandals mundanely. I had gotten them to dance in, but the rubber soles are a bit too sticky for my taste. But, they are the coolest, most comfy sandals, and they have a model w/o between toe laces: Nativearth, Olde Soles: Handmade boots, shoes, and leather accessories.

I'm in touch with Aruba right now :) thank you for the link and introducing us..will have more info soon but we are going to sorta co-market and I'll be dyeing silk laces for the sandals and placing her link on my site..will also be offering some kind of discount on laces if you get shoes from her

and i'll have matching skirts of course :)

I know you found some that you like on Aruba's but for other people reading the thread, I really love my Leos.

These babies have kept my tooties happy for several years. The soles have a nice cushion, without being too bulky.

I know that jewels has sandals that she swears by but I don't remember where she said she got them. You might try PM'ing her. The laces can be removed and switched out.

Yay! That's awesome. Aruba is wonderful. She was my first teacher actually when she lived out here in the middle of hell... errr 'scuse me the heat and smoke are getting to me. That aside the sandals are really great. I would wear them all the time if my feet weren't so weird.
