Makeup artists normally get the shaft (it's usually the 'tog mentioned in the fancy spreads) so I'm so flattered and honored that you are givin' some cred'. I just love doing it and working with fun peeps!

I do miss me some crispy pata and pork inihaw... I'd never eat it now but I fantasize about eating it. .p::

I am working on a vegan Filipino food cook book. ..l;, I don't even know if this is possible!

You guys are making me hungry & homesick (actually more for my aunt's cooking than my mom's....shhhhhh....).

mmm..lumpia. Im more of a chicken adobo girl myself. And some tocino and some sinagang with prawn and some halayang ube.... Whoa...where did this thread go!?!?!

Mmm we used to eat fried banana fritters with ube ice cream in Singapore. My dad's "help" was Filipina so she made all of the good fried stuff. My faves at the time were eggplant relleno and fried tilapia with good 'ol rice and tomatoes.

I managed to make a vegan sinigang. It actually turned out okay! I would love to attempt a vegan palabok...

Should I buy my plane ticket already?! ;op

I have to admit, I've never had ube, my lumpia are awful (but I know someone who would make them for me), banana fritters...I forgot about those (especially w/ a yummy french vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce).

I might have to call my mom and beg for a ticket to go home....

All this food is generally available in Hawai'i! Plus the scenery is fantastic for photos *hinting*.
