Re: Feet
Walgreens sells the ped-egg which was advertised on tv before. It's a mini cheese grater for removing extra callusing.

Re: Feet
Best products for feet (IMHO) on the market right now:
LUSH -- Foot Care Products: Volcano Foot Mask
LUSH -- Body Care Products: Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter (cuticle cream, body cream, hand lotion)

Re: Feet
Me too, and I started dancing barefoot a couple of years ago so I get professional pedicures 2x a month. They told me I am building up callus so fast I need to *gently* pumice every day and apply lotion at night. It's best to pumice after a bath or shower and I also use a creme by Avon "Footworks" and massage into feet. Honest, it feels so wonderful I almost fall asleep sitting on the edge of the bed! ,s::..g.:,s::
Even if you don't want to get professional pedicures all the time, it's a good investment to get one just to get it done right - they know not to take off too much callus right away and they'll trim the toenails correctly. Beats having to go to foot doctor! Then follow up with regular soaking, gentle pumicing and do NOT neglect foot creme, not even for a day! The one I'm using from Avon isn't greasy and is heaven after a hard dance workout in bare feet!
Good luck, remember what one of my dance teachers said "Feet are forever...............take care of them and they will take care of you!..g.:"

Re: Feet
Love the Lemony Flutter! I'd use it by the vat on hands, feet, elbows, and knees if it weren't quite so pricey here.

Re: Feet
I bet the US gals can get Palmers Cocoa Butter cheap though. The original stuff in the pot. That is GOOD.

Re: Feet
Yes, this stuff is heavenly. I've never used it on the feet but as I was reading down this thread, I already started thinking it would probably be great on all those callouses and rough skin.(I use Lemony Flutter from Lush, which is awesome)

Re: Feet
Totally agree here. Heavy rub-down of Bag Balm and sleep in sockies. I do this a couple times a week and the skin on my feet is so lovely now! I used to have cracking heels and "pump bumps" from wearing heels to work all the time when I was still in the corporate world. For casual/weekend wear, I swear by Birkenstocks for protecting my feet. Mine are archy and its hard for me to find a comfortable sandal.

Re: Feet
How long does it take from the time you start caring for the feet for them to look nice, like everyone else's feet?

Re: Feet
Depends on how much callous you have built up...if you are diligent about treating them, they will probably start looking much better right away, but not "baby soft feet" gorgeous for a couple of months. Then you need to maintain them or you'll be right back where you started.
I like this AHA lotion: Skin Revealing Body Lotion with 10% AHA - Body & Hair Care: Paula's Choice Skin Care & Cosmetics
It's on sale this month. Standard disclaimer: I reap no benefit except the joy of knowing you'll have baby feet
