Tried any of these footie things?
Hello,
I'm trying to decide on foot underwear. I know the Capezio ones have been out for awhile and are very popular, but Leo's just came out with one too. I have Leo's lyrical shoes and I really like them, and I think I remember trying on the Capezio ones and them not working for me (I have narrow feet).
Has anyone tried either brand? Other ones? You opinions needed here. ..l;,

I was interested until I saw the price tag. Ludicrous! (for the FootUndeez, anyway, I don't know about Leo's). I just wanted something I could wear with my sandals, but hell, my sandals didn't cost much more than they wanted for one package of those little socks. NO WAY!

The Capezio Foot Undeez with an ankle strap ("Full Body") are MUCH better than the ones without. The ones without the ankle strap seem to slip forward on my feet.

Foot Undeez aren't just cloth...i.e. they are not socks...they have a suede sole for protecting the balls of the feet during turns.

They are fantastic!!! I would recommend them to anyone who wants to dance barefoot but can't turn very well (like me) because the friction prevents them...
They are just like ballet slippers in the way that you can turn and slide along the floor....and they last for quite awhile if you're on hardwood, dance floor type of setting. not too sure how well they keep up on outside/rough surfaces like cement...

I would also recommend Cat's Paw by So Danca, if you have a vendor near you who carries them (I think you might only be able to order them through registered retailers):

Well, I stand corrected... I was looking for some of those toeless peddie things when i came across the ad. Didn't realize they have suede soles. Since I can't dance (or walk, or run, or do anything but shower) barefoot, they're a pretty moot point, but I can see how they would benefit you all -- kinda like the old Hermes halfsoles.
Carry on! I envy you guys....

I found some of those toe-less pedi things at Marshall's or TJ Maxx for 2 dollars! I think they were gold-toe brand but I can't remember. I use them for dance but they snag and don't fit securely enough around the balls of my feet...they are made for people wearing sandals and flip flops though...

Just love dance paws! Expensive but they are worth the price.

You can check your size by using de size chart on the dance paws website:
size your paws
I like the dancepaws for perfoming: they stay in place and they are almost unnoticible.
I also tried the "foot thong" (pics below) but they keep moving under my feet, not as comfortable.

Take a look on eBay, sometime you may find a good deal:

I love the Capezio footundeez!! I tried the Bloch foot thongs and they moved too much. Try Discount Dance Supply - Dancewear at discount prices including pointe shoes, leotards, ballet slippers and much more.. They have some other varities and their prices are better then going straight from Capezio.

I like the Dance Paws too. They are a little tricky to get on, but once on you don't even know they're there (unlike the ones with the back strap which were too tight for a while...and then suddenly too loose, with no "just right!"). If I slack off on the ped care though, I just end up wearing black socks for class.

I use the Dance Paws all the time and I love them. I haven't tried the other brands though.

I quite like the look of these ones, though I've never used them: Dance shoes - Europe's leading online retailer of dancewear - Jazz Shoes
I'd really like something like this as one of my classes is ina carpeted studio, which is fine until you want to to big turns. I am debating whether to get some of these, or some canvas slpit sole pumps, which would be good for dirty floors, but I think I need to spread my toes for balance more than the shoes would let me.

Re: Tried any of these footie things?
There is a store near me that sells the dance paws. I may have to go and check them out. I have been using a little home creation out of ace wrap that I cut and sewed so that it wraps around the ball of my foot and although that works okay, I would like something with a little more cushion.

Re: Tried any of these footie things?
dance paws start to twist around my foot after 30 minutes of class and it is quite annoying to keep readjusting them. Foot Undeez work much better for me, but they get torn easily around the suede "paw" part.

I swear by foot undeez! Tried the dance paws and they were too tight around each toe but the foot undeez fit just right.
If there is a dance store near you, try several types on to make sure the pads fit just where you need them when you spin.

I'm going to a local dance store to try these on. Has anyone tried these yet?

I need a full sole type of shoe and regular ballet shoes won't work for me because the heel keeps bagging underneath my heel - and jazz shoes just don't look good IMO.

Re: Tried any of these footie things?
I have the regular foot undeez and the full sole foot undeez and much prefer the full sole. I usually wear ballet slippers, however, for class or wear Pedinis.
