anyone see the price increase on dharma trading? it's up on thai silks too.

wow it's getting cheaper to buy veils from people who run a lot of 99 cent auctions on ebay and then re-dye them!

I was wondering about the price of silk!! Everything else has gone up. I've been wanting to make some shrugs with floaty sleeves but might end up "re-purposing" some silk blouses from the thrift store!

Jes, have I missed that sale on capes you were talking about awhile back? I'd like to get a coverup but I'd like one that doesn't have to pull over my head....

i guess it makes sense to stock up on fuel and silk these days..houses? maybe not so much

When did dharma stop selling 6mm half circles? Do you do them (6mm half circles), Jessenia?

I sell dyed half circles, the large 55 inch wide TRUE half circle veils, yes..

( I don't sell undyed ones they are just too costly to import and too valuable once they are dyed:)

but I think dharma is/used to sell the rectangle with curved edge veils, they are not half circle..they are a oblong kind of rectangle with curved edges. I bought a few to see them and didnt like them. With movement they didnt have the same ripple effect as a true half circle (I'm a snob about silk) .

I also dye the smaller Little Wings which are 2.5 yards long but definitely the focus is on the large ones:)

FYI my silk suppliers in China bumped up their prices too so its not just U.S. suppliers.

Well, shipping costs have gone up, of course. But for the China suppliers, I wonder how much of it has to do with the Olympics. Everything Chinese has got a bit more cache right now. Maybe after the games are over, the prices will go back down a bit.
