Thread: New project - leopard costume: GRR! New pics!

This will be probably my cheapest costume ever:

1- Velvet sweater that will be transform into a bedlah: $4 (from a thriftshop)
2- Luxurious goldy-coopery velvet :tongue: for the skirt: $4,50 (liquidation fabric store - $2 meter + taxes)
3- Bra base: $5 (sidewalk sale)
4- Beads, sequins, etc.: approx. $12 (from dollard store)
5- Two leopard gold jewelries those were the buckle of a belt that I found in a... thriftshop for $2
6- Rolls of thread: $3

Having fun making my next costume: priceless!!





For the belt base (the back part is done, on the first pic), I already had the quilted cotton in my stuff. So that's about $30,50 spent for my next creation. Wish me luck!

ahh, I love leopard costumes and thrifting! can't wait to see how it turns out, especially the leopard jewelry. It always makes me so happy to reuse things

here's the thread on the leopard cossie I made a few months ago--it was based on a Bella I saw up for over $500 on the swap meet. I think my grand total was about $100:

And on top of it, Khadija my friend and instructor just received a stock of wings of Isis, and guess what? There is a pair of gold and LEOPARD PRINT one! Shut up! :tongue:

I love the leopard chain too; they'll give it a nice unique touch.

The chained leopards are the best! I have to confess that What Not To Wear is a guilty pleasure. I don't even dress myself well so I'm not sure why I watch it but I do. Shut up!

He, he, he, I am a What Not To Wear addict too! I keep watching the re-runs over and over, and still enjoy it every time!
