Thread: Miss Bellydance Hungary in Eman Zaki costume

She is a protege of Randa Kamel. I thought her dancing was gorgeous, so spirited and strong. But that costume! I know it's Eman Zaki, but.... I guess it works for that style of dancing, but the black feathers on that washed-out yellow just look nasty to me.

Of course, her fabulous dancing overrides any costume deficiency, but still.... I would rather see her in something else!

I know there have been threads on Eman Zaki's costumes before, but this clip really hit it home to me how different they are. It sure isn't something that I could wear, you would have to have a certain figure to wear that style I think.

I'm with you. Dont really know why people would pay alot of moulah for a couple of feathers on lycra.

I love her dancing. It is very Randaesque. I like the costume except for the hip feathers. I am surprised that that chest bird looks good on stage. i figured it would just look like a big parrot on your boob when I saw pictures. but it actually looks good.

Anala, ROFLAO! That's too damn funny. I can't get my eye's off of how her legs must look if she was wearing pants or a mini. Her legs are really far apart and bent at the knee so much. But she is a good dancer.

WOW! I usually can't pay attention to a video clip for longer than 3-4 min, but she was really good! I don't like the feathers on the costume either though. I don't know why there is a trend of feathers lately. Everything gets stuck on them.

Wow! She's amazing! And I gotta tell ya I love the costume! I have seen pictures of it on mannequins and hated it! But it looks really good here!

Beautiful performance. I think the yellow color of her costume just got washed out by bad stage lighting?

I liked the dancing once she ditched the veil. I almost didn't make it to that point though. If a performer doesn't get me in the first 30 seconds I tend to start glazing over.

She has some wonderful combos. I found the performance to be very inspiring, feathers and all. She has a great figure and the cut of the costume really looks great on her. I didn't really notice the feathers since the camera was rather at a distance.

It was a really great performance, but I do agree that those feathers dont read well on camera. Unless they're the big, super-floofy ones like ostrich feathers, they end up looking like little fake moustaches stuck all over

..l;,..l;,..l;,I have this exact same costume ..... it was the butt of many jokes here on Bhuz a while back ..... still love it, and am still working on my comedy piece for an appropriate venue ..... I agree it's better in another color -- Amartia's purple version is gorgeous -- but I bought it specifically for comedy ...... even so, it's really VERY different in person than in the pictures (really!!)..g.:

Ha! Fake moustaches......l;, I'm SURE the feathers look better in person. I tend to like feathers that look more recognizeably feather-y from a distance, though. I bet the costume's actually cute in person, in an odd way. The movement in the skirt is very, very nice.

The boob eagle actually looks more like some sort of huge exotic fan-tailed angelfish and I think I'd actually like it better that way. Can I get Eman to make me a fish costume? I want scales on the bra, and all.....g.:

In Hungary most of the professoinal belly dancers wear very nice and expensive costumes - it doesn't cost them much to hop on over to Egypt, take classes and pick up a few costumes!! Lucky girls!!

I liked the costume on her, but of course everything would look great on that body! The color would be nicer with something more vibrant, but it's ok.
And she is a very good dancer with awesome shimmies - I just never liked the legs spreaded so far all the time during the shimmies.

I always thought the same thing about having a certain figure for Eman's costumes until I saw the NDC in Dallas a few years ago. They all danced in the dresses with the cris-crossed front. Not all of those dancers were a size 4, but the costume really did look great on all of them.

i think the lighting washed out the costume. if it's the yellow eman bird, it's much more vibrant in person. i enjoyed her performance
