Thread: akai silks and top/skirt

Hi Ladies -

Our troupe of six bought different colors of Akia Silks "Silk crepe de chine mini Goddess luxury wear ruana, sarong, scarf gift sets," then sewed the sarong into skirts, and are making tops out of the ruanas. We'll perform in them on Friday with our bedlahs - I'll post photos here and the swap meet new costumes thread this weekend.

I love that shade of green!

What pattern are you using?

a simplicity one (3832), but we've modified it: to have elastic at the bottom of the top all the way around instead of tying in the front; to go under the bust, u-top like; and had to make the arms bigger around. Wait until you see the end result! The photo makes that green muddy.

Oh, good I have that pattern!

I can't wait to see the top finished!
