Thread: careful at makeup counters..achoooo

about two weeks ago i splurged at the MAC counter, i let the girl do my makeup and then fiddled around with the colors on display

by evening my throat was flaming and for the past two weeks i've been coughing up greenies.

was back there the day before yesterday to cancel an appt i made and i started fiddling with colors for a few minutes..i always take the makeup pot and wipe it first before i dab some on my wrist but guess that is not enough ..once again by evening i had the sore throat again

could be coincidence but think of all the fingers touching the makeup. i'm not getting makeup done anymore unless i bring in my own stuff and brushes

I also learned that lesson the hard way. I do not go near make-up counters - period. Between the fragrances that conflict and the foolish people spritzing people I find it not only off-putting but also the cause of several bouts with sore throats and sinus-related headaches and infections. Not to mention skin rashes. And I cannot forget an eye infection that my Doctor said was probably due to unsanitary products.

Keep in mind that it takes a few days for most infections to actually start to show symptoms.
Still, I am wary of putting anything on my face that others have used before me that I don't know. I have spent too much time in bathrooms to know just how many out there do NOT wash their hands.

PS stay away from "free" nuts and what not at bars that are just left out in a bowl on the tables and bar!

Same here, learned my lesson the hard way as well! Had a horrible eye infection courtesy of a 'free make over'!
