tribal dome studs- where do you buy yours?
I could have sworn I've seen them at Joann Fabrics before, but I couldn't find them yesterday and they looked at me like I was making something up when I asked.
Any ideas? I found them on kit kraft online and a few on ebay...but looking for advice here!

I'm not sure. I've only seen prong, but sounds like screw back might be better. I've never used any of these. What do you recommend?

It depends on your application. Screw back or rivet set are more sturdy, but require a specific thickness of material to be set well.
The prong or screw back are also relatively removable if you decide to go for a flat spot in the future instead of a dome.
My hubby uses all 3 types for his leather work, but we order in bulk. PM me or mail me at acmcgraw at verizon dot net

I get the prong set ones from kitkraft. I've never seen them at joanns.

I have seen them at Joann's and Walmart. Probably any craft store. I think if you ask for them calling them upholstry studs or fasteners will get you more help. People usually (lol) use them to upholster leather chairs and foot stools, things of the like.

Re: tribal dome studs- where do you buy yours?
no, they don't have them at mine anyway. The upholstry section only has prongs that are 3" plus deep. There's no way my bra/belt is going to be 3" thick....
those things are scary and that's NOT what I'm looking for. I tried joanns upholstery section, sewing section, snaps/fasteners, and craft section...as well as LEATHER working section. They do not have them. I know it for a fact. Maybe some of them do, but this one doesn't.
