Thread: Silk like fabric for veils

I know that some of you use veils that are like silk, but are not silk. I am going to the fabric store this evening and want to take a gander at fabric prices but have NO idea what type of fabric it is. So if you don't have silk, what is it?

Non-silk fabric you might use for a veil:

Chiffon or georgette made from polyester
"Silkessence" -- actually a poly lining fabric

Visit the linings dept. and the special occasion fabrics dept, unwind a good bit of fabric, and waft it about! That's the only way to tell... :-D
