Thread: Got Makeup?

Um, I do!

Kit, meet Bhuz; Bhuz, meet kit.

I thought I would lay out everything I have to see what I have in an effort to downsize, with all the traveling I normally do. There is NO WAY I can carry this around with me! This amused me and I thought I'd share it with you. The kit actually looks small to me, but relatively rules.

I'm sure I'll be posting some goodies for sale again soon... ..g.:

Actually, when I travel, I downsize it to fit into a plastic craft box. But that means a sad 85% of it is at home, unused.

<gulps> Makes my sad little drawer of goodies look awfully puny...

Gee, did you use any of that on me for MD RTC?? Meant to ask you about colors etc...

Yeah, it's the eye shadow in the upper center part of the table, don't you see it? ..l;,

Oh dear. Can't tell you specifically, I believe it was a palette of dark brown and non-shimmer highlight. Well, once I see your head shots, I will be able to tell you what I used, and can probably tell you the lipstick combo as well.

A makeup artist I sat for actually had 2 luggages full of stuff. For only 3 principle actors!

That's why my kit looks small to me!

ummm, i'm going to pm you, if you have colors, in all (eyes, lashes, lip, cheek) etc that would work for me, i'd be interested in purchasing a lot (brushes even)

WOW. That felt good! My colleague came over to look at the half table of stuff that I wanted to unload and she bought it all. I feel like I did a mitzvah, she was so excited to beef up her kit. She's the woman who did my makeup in the newer shots.
Now there's room for new products and new ideas.

The amount of stuff is impressive enough, but what I'm really amazed about is that you actually know how to use all of it...

see, i could never lay all my makeup out. i think it would scare me if i saw how much i really have. i have 2 big makeup cases worth, not to mention a few smaller ones here and there

I know what you mean! A few months ago I bought some new brush cleaner and decided to get all my brushes together and give them an extra-good cleaning. I had them stuck away in several different locations, and I can't believe how many I own! Ended up tossing some early cheapies because I've bought better ones since, and I still have a drawer-full. Not as neatly organized as Azhia's but I'm just an amateur MUA.

Come to think of it, I think it's a great idea because you forget about what you own. If you see it all layed out, you rekindle your excitement about some of the stuff you forgot you had!

Andrea2, I'm constantly experimenting! :0) Which means I have to constantly buy new products. DARN.

No need for me to post pics. I have three eyeshadow "triplets", three eyeliners, three mascaras and only one really small thing of pretty gold eyeshadow. I feel woefully inadequate. See what I mean when I say that I don't have a lot of make-up Azhia?

I actually aspire to be that uncluttered with my personal makeup stash. But being that I split everything b/t pro and per, I have double of everything! ;op

..l;,..l;,My husband saw my lame storage system (a couple of shoeboxes and zip loc bags) and came home with a heavy duty tackle box. I mean the big fold out kind. Does that give you any idea how much I have?

Not the array you have Ahzia, but still I just can't throw any shadows etc away. (Only keep the stuff that has a decent shelf life)

Bless his heart, it works beautifully and alll those little compartments are great for pots of this and that. Tackle boxes are much more durable than the fold out totes they sell at Sephora for $80. They just don't look as impressive though.

I WILL NOT lay all my beauty booty before the internet, for fear that I will shame myself. I have an unnaturally ridiculous amount of makeup. I have those stacked plastic drawers that you get at Target and they are all filled with makeup, as are two shelves in my linen closet. Shameful. (But fun and sparkly!)
