Thread: Suggestions for finding bra/belt sets for troupe performance?

For our autumn Hafla, we're including a troupe number where the dancers will be wearing either a gold or silver bra/belt set with harem pants. I've sent out a few inquiries (Dahlal, Scheherazade Imports, et cetera), but the available sets are out of everyone's price range. Can anyone recommend an online store that has affordable bra/belt sets in gold and silver? Any assistance would be absolutely appreciated!

There are really inexpensive ones at Belly Dance Costumes and Belly dancing belts, bras and costumes from Egypt. They're definitely not high-end, but they could do the job.

There's an e-bay vender, sparking queen or sparklingqueen (not sure if there's a space between the 2 words) selling Egyptian sequin/fringe bra & belt sets in a uniform design with various color choices including gold and silver. They come in a regular and a plus size. I e-mailed them once and said, "I'm looking for one this color in the plus size," and they answered right away and posted the color/size I needed with a "Buy it Now" button. Price $99, $18 shipping, though I hope there would be a shipping break for buying a bunch of them. I read their feedback and there were many comments about quick shipping. I can't tell you about the quality of the set I bought though . . . because I ended up deciding to buy a more expensive bedlah from somebody else and the one they posted just for me, I did not buy.:Aembarassed:

Glad you got so many suggestions. I just bought some for my troupe and we ended up getting them for about $225 from Scherezade...they'll probably be the same as the one from this e-bay seller, just twice the price. Oh well...

Oh, here's another one with inexpensive sets: Belly dance Bra & Belt costumes. I've seen one of these in person, and they're just fine for the price.
