Thread: Tempest's Corset Belt Tassels

I made one of Tempest's corset belts but I can't find any of the fake horse hairy type tassels on her belts. I tried fancy yarn but it's just not right. Does anyone know where I can find what she uses?

Just from pictures, I always thought that these tassels look a bit like the colored fake hair one can buy at Sally Beauty Supply stores.

I think I've also heard them referred too as synth hair tassels. I usually use yarn too, and it is just not the same. Sometimes the local dollar store has the fair hair too. Ooo, and since it is Halloween time, look for some cheap wigs and see if you can chop them up and use them =)

I have purchased yak hair extensions from the hair/ wig stores in my area and used those. You can usually get a vareity of colors.

You can get that fake hair very inexpensively at Sally Beauty Supply. If you want funky colors, Welcome to Doctored Locks is definitely the place to go! I suggest the Kanekalon or Toyokalon yaky ponies.
