Thread: Where to buy embroidered silk/ faux silk?

This is mildly related to bellydance-- fabric for a ghawazee coat. Has anybody spotted an online shop to buy an embroidered silk or faux silk like this?

I would say keep searching ebay. Filter the search results to look at only the sellers in the US. That is what I do when I'm looking for a special fabric. Be aware that some sellers sell yardage by the yard using dutch auctions (be sure and read the rules for dutch auctions if you haven't done them before).

I'd suggest the following search string -- fill in the parentheses with colors if you only want certain colors:

silk brocade (purple, red)

Check the home decor section of Joann's, if you get their 40% off coupons, you can get it for a good deal.

I did go to Joann's, and was about to buy a fabric which was perfect, but then I chickened out when I couldn't get the 40% off... it was on sale already for $12/yd... I foolishly thought I could get it cheaper online, but to find out I can't find enough yardage ..c::
Joann's is out of my area, so I was hoping I could find something online...

Thanks... I've been going through ebay searches daily and put in keywords along those lines. Hopefully something will come up!
Those Dutch auctions can be tricky sometimes, especially when it's by half yard, not a whole yard :)
