TLC for a beautiful Sim Moda
I bought a used Sim several years ago and have never performed in it. It has languished in my closest with a broken zipper, a few food (grease I think) stains, and some wrinkles in the skirt. The zipper will be fixed shortly but I'm not sure what to do about the stains or the wrinkles. The skirt is lycra.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm chicken to dunk this gorgeous baby in suds to get rid of the stains..w.:

Did you try the spot cleaner that comes in the Dryel kit on the stains? That stuff rocks. I have also had good luck with grease stains using Dawn dish detergent, but if the spots are close to sequins, I might be afraid to spot treat it that way. I would try a hand held steamer over any areas that are not embellished for the wrinkles.

I would work on removing the stains prior to steaming wrinkles, the steam might actually set the stains. I have used baby powder to absorb the greasy film then worked with club soda on the actual grease, using towels to blot and gently rub. I need to purchase the spot cleaner in the Dryel kit, thanks for the hint.
I have found water or club soda can leave a bit of a water mark on lycra. In my experience when all spots were removed I would hang the costume over the tub and use the hand-held shower massage unit to completely douse the entire skirt. When it dried the water marks would be gone. I do suggest doing a spot-check in some obscure location to be certain the lycra is color-fast. I am not aware of any lycra dyes that run but it's always wise to be extra careful with bling.

Great ideas, ladies! Thank you. I did fail to mention in the original post that there are clusters of tiny beads and sequins, like tiny flowers, sprinkled on the skirt. It really is beautiful! I'll check out the Dryel Kit before I get too aggressive.

depending on the size of the grease stains, you can also bead over them if they aren't too big.
