    Cheap and MAC-like Eyeshadow

I just got my Pro 120 Palette in the mail and it is great. I paid about $20 and the texture and pigmentation is similar to MAC! You really need to check this out. 120 different colors in one palette!

Jut go to Ebay and search Pro Palette 120. Some of the sellers offer free brush sets along with the palette.

P.s. made in China so beware of questionable ingredients. I am a risk taker so I went for it, no irritation at all.

    Thanks for the tip!:)

Milani single eyeshadows can also be put in an empty MAC palette,
they fit and all colors but "Almondine"has good pigmentation!

Thanks Samira! I've seen someone use that on YouTube, I'm going to get myself some of those! They'd make great presents!

    Samirage,
Yay! Nice find, but I'm pretty leary about unknown brands, they're often a disappointment in how they wear. The colors look pretty small, are they big enough for you? Just saw this on youtube too.
Wear it, sweat in it, and let us know how it lasts! If it's ok after a sweat or a day's wear, I'm going to order three of them. Which company gave you the brushes?

I ordered from Chic Gallery. Yeah, the shadows are a little on the small side. They are about the size of a dime. BUT they are really pigmented so a little goes a long way. Even if you only use 20 percent of the colors its still a great deal. So far, very MAC like. Ill do a full makeup job and go for a jog and report back with the sweat factor.

Great tip! I love Milani shadows, and they are very, very inexpensive.

Looking forward to Samira's sweat report. ..g.:

ok, sweat approved! It pretty much stayed put. I always use an eyeshadow base with any eyeshadow I use.

My pleasure. I am always willing to risk it all for a good beauty product so you all may benefit. I should have taken sweaty made up jogging pics! Shoot! Before and afters would have been even better. Let me know what you all think of them when you get the palette. *Sweaty jogging pics optional.

    Re: Cheap and MAC-like Eyeshadow

I'm super happy with my set, Thanks Samira! I ordered one set right away, it took 10 days to get here, in perfect shape, it was VERY well bubble wrapped. I've been trying out a bunch of the colors, and both my teens have worn it for a week now. I'm happy to report that whatever they make it with- is FINE on us! I wore it bright and blingy to a very sweaty practice last night, to sweat test drive it too- and don't think the amount and brightness I was using in the name of science wasn't noticed by anyone ..l;,...and it lasted right through sweating. I had primed it with Mary Kay signature eye primer. I paid 11.99 + 11.99 shipping, and got some little brushes with it, they are pretty little, and not super quality from what I can tell, so I haven't used them, but hey, they were freebies. I'm going back to ebay for 2 more sets -we've been hovering over the one set in morning competition for whichever color we want. I may even buy more for gifts.... Habibi, anyone?

I havent found one that combines shipping, I wish, I would have bought 5! Seriously, these things blend deliciously and the colors are almost supernaturally vivid. I am a bit of a makeup snob and these are spectacular. The colors are only about the size of a dime but they are so pigmented that you hardly use any each application. And at this price, I just ordered a backup for when I run out of my favorite colors.

I might try these now. I saw it previewed on youtube and was worried about the amount of pigment in them. Brown skin makes so many makeup colors disappear unless you pile it on...

I did see one seller that gave a discount for more items ordered but I don't remember who it was. It was something like 10% off shipping if you order 3 items or something like that. Check out their stores instead of the auction and they may have discounts there.

I know what you mean Ramona, I can get pretty tan myself and as a caramel girl it works great on me, soooo much pigment. I should work for this company!

    Re: Cheap and MAC-like Eyeshadow

I couldn't stand it anymore!!! Have to try some for myself and just went a little crazy on Ebay (but like you all say, they'd make gr8 gifts)... The only thing that makes me nervous is that I could not find the seller "Chic Gallery". I purchased from "Impressive_Gems" and "ray.spot"(got a brush set gift w/this one). Anyone care to comment on their experience with either/or?

    Totally hot.

Slightly OT but if you decide to go back to MAC for anything else (your eyeshadow needs seem to be covered!) go to my friend, Bob. He's a Filipino working at the MAC in the big mall on Oahu. He has an amazingly deep voice and is probably one of a handful of straight male makeup artists out there!

I've heard amazing things about this palette:

Coastal Scents: Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette

works excellent with Urban Decay Primer Potion as an Eyeshadow Base/Primer.

Also NYX eyeshadow are comparible to MAC eyeshadows.
