Upgrade from a B to a DD? Can it be done?
Like I dont have enough on my plate right now...cant part with this very small bra cause it is so my color and the belt is mucho grande...so here it goes for those of you with the same problem bra problem. The hardest part so far has been matching the copper sequins. The green bra fits like a dream so I used it for establishing the width from pit to pit as well as the angle of the strap to cup tilt. More photos in my gallery and finished product will be posted. Eventually! ..g.:

Looks like it's well on its way to being done!
I think it would be so fun to have a booth or contest or something at festivals like Rakassah that feature projects like this. Sort of a Project Rak-way challenge.

Incredible job!
Question for you, did you mount the original B-cup bra on another bra cup or did you add a strip of buckram/interfacing to extend the original cup?

Re: Upgrade from a B to a DD? Can it be done?
The small one was mounted on a big foamy one and then the excess of the big one was cut away. I added buckram to the rib straps for a better proportion of frame to cup. The bridge between the cups was also fabricated. I have tried strips of buckram added to the tops of the bra, but they never took on the proper curvature. A big foam bra does the trick...but you gotta cut away the majority of the foamy bra after securing the small ones on it - or you end up with life threatening breastesses

That's awesome! I am a 34D and it always seems the costumes I love are Bs so I'm loving the idea of making them bigger.

hey anala;
do you cut away the bra cup to just leave the top part extending?

this is a good thread, I have a tiny bra that I have had sitting around forever that needs this same thing done to it.
