Thread: Show off your crazy bedlahs!

Just for fun! ..l;,

I haven't seen a lot of "deviant" bedlahs out on the internet, but I do see a lot of outrageously fun costumes on photos of dancers. What have you got that is either insanely colorful, a completely unique cut/style, a crazy design, or just awesome? ..g.: Show it off!

Clearly, I don't own it, but I think Dahlal's "Fiesta del Sol " is a great example! :)

..l;, The fabric has a metallic sheen, too, so it's sparkly as well as psychedelic.

Amity - thanks! Yes, I made this one - it's my "Candy Costume" (sometimes "Crazy Candy" or "Psychedelic Candy", depending on my mood). People love this one when I perform in it, so it's a win-win - I get to be crazy, and they like it!

This isn't too crazy, but the cut on the belt is. One of my first costumes. Lyla now has it, I miss it!

Amity, lol, even the fringe is spunky. I like it a lot!

I think most of you have seen pics of this before, but here is my Lips Sahar costume. The bra is shaped like lips and there are lip appliques on the hip area, front and back and on the back, there is one danging lip applique, that I have been told, spins in a circle when I shimmy!! It is a crazy costume, but that is why I love it!

I just bought some weird fabric and am planning on attempting a costume project or two. The first day I went to the fabric store, I saw the fabric and thought "ugh, ridiculous". Then I couldn't get it out of my head and had to go back and buy it. ..g.: The lady at the store said it made her think of Peg Bundy. Greeeaatttt..... I still like it, strangely.

Gee, Joanne, I never thought of you as the Peg Bundy type, but hey...
