Thread: Ahhh...that raccoon look!

So, I'm plagued by the raccoon-eye-makeup phenomenon that happens by the end of a set when one gets sweaty... no matter how I try to lighten the eyeliner and mascara, do upper lids only, and set it with powder, my eyes are so deep-set that things run by the end of 20-mins right down from the corners to my lateral lower lids! Any "eye-deas" on how to prevent this, makeup goddesses?

At worst, you could always avoid mascara altogether and just use fake eyelashes.

Do you use waterproof mascara and liner?

Apparently, FiberWig does not smudge. Also properly prime the eyelid area (on, above, below the lids/lower lash line) before applying eye makeup. Fix with She-Lac or Kryolan/Ben Nye/Mehron/Green Marble SeLr fixative spray. Layer your cosmetics (for example, cream shadow and then powder on top. Or eye shadow, eye liner pencil, and then liquid.)

I love Urban Decay's primer potion-I use it religiously and I find that things DO NOT run no matter how humid/sweaty I get. And then I use Clinique's eye makeup remover to get it all off :) You can get the Urban Decay at Sephora.....

I love MAC loud lash mascara. Stays put. Also their liquidlast eyeliner. It's a pain to get off but doesn't budge. I actually spray my face with Sebastian anti-humidity hairspray. It keeps everything on. One warning though, when you spray it you will get over spray around your bathroom that drys and feels bumpy. That's anti-humidity baby!! It can be washed off but my hubby always says "Ack! You are using that spray again!!" LOL

Should also add that I have never had my skin react badly to using this to set my makeup. Also, the humidity is high here and I sweat so if it keeps it on me... ;)
