The one thing I've heard about Moondance is that it takes a very long time to receive the items you order.

I've heard about some quality issues as well. I have a skirt from them though that I've had for a few years that's in good condition... but it did take a few weeks to get to me if I remember correctly.

I steer myself away from those guys. I learned my lesson. Yes, they are quite slow.

Re: Moondance AARRGGHH!-vent
I've ordered from them a few times this year, and it definitely takes two to three weeks for orders to arrive from their store. Fortunately, one of the girls in my troupe told me about that before I ordered! It's so hard to be patient when costume pieces are on their way...
I did get a hip belt in a larger size than I had ordered, but it was an easy fix. (I would have been more concerned if it was something that couldn't be fixed--they have a strict no returns/no refunds policy.) They were incredibly friendly and helpful via e-mail. Have you e-mailed them to ask about your order?
I hope that your coins arrive soon!Last edited by Sitara9; 10-22-2008 at 06:04 PM.

I had heard about quality issues too with the clothes, figured I would be safe with non clothing items. However they were some of the very few that carried the sort of coins I wanted :( I havent emailed them yet but I will tomorrow.

I have students who have purchased some nice skirts from them and have been very satisfied. But GOOD LORD they need to do something about their web site...I have tried to browse there, and I just can't scroll through that mess.

I agree completely! Seems to be more of a side business than anything else.

I ordered from them once. I ordered a sword and a veil. I got the veil in two or three weeks, but after waiting for the sword for a month, I had to e-mail them and ask them if they'd forgotten about my order.

Re: Moondance AARRGGHH!-vent
They do take awhile, but they are really nice. I had put in an order with them and it was taking forever to get my stuff. So I called them directly and they were extremely helpful. I would definitely buy from them again, but only if it was something I didn't need right away.
