Quick questions about trumpet skirts for the small-hippped

I want to order a new trumpet skirt from L Rose and I like the way the super deluxe style looks on their website. The only thing is that I have pretty small hips, 31" upper and 34" lower, and I'm concerned that it would be too much fabric and might overwhelm my small frame. What do you guys think? Also, do the slit trumpet skirts hug the top of the hips in the same way as the ones without slits? I just want to make sure that I will get that lovely curve enhancing benefit of the trumpet style. I currently have one in the peek-a-boo style, but since the slit is on the side and it isn't the deluxe or super deluxe style I can't really get a sense of what those styles are like from it. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

In my experience, yes. Mine looks exactly like my other trumpet skirts if I'm standing still, and you only notice it's different when I start moving and the slit opens.
