Thread: Rania skirt

Anyone know of a costume pattern for the skirt Rania wears in her performance at the end of the personal trainer dvd? It looks like a straight skirt with chiffon pieces hanging from the top of it. Very pretty, nice movement.

Can you draw a picture of it?
I couldn't find her wearing anything like you described, on youtube. :-(

So pretty!

To me it looks like the panels are long strips, around 15+ inches wide, hip to to floor in length.
Top/waist end appears to be gathered tightly at top.
Could be made as an overskirt, sewn directly to grossgrain ribbon, spaced apart evenly apart.

It looks like she might have 7 (4 back, 3 front) panels.

I once had a similar skirt, the panels were the same shape as a circle skirt only smaller. So if you had a 1/4 panel you'd split it in half to make two 1/8 panels.

yeah - what norma said. my guess is they're half circles or quarter circles. definitely wider at the bottom.
