Media? is a great burgundy tone

and finally they had Loreal self tanner again, this stuff smells like sugar, I LOVE it, faint glimmer glow to the skin with sparklies in it and it's natural looking and yum yum

I have Media too - it's great, but very dense and deep.

I hate to call you both to the carpet, but ruby woo beats both russian red and fresh moroccan, hands (lips?) down. followed closely (in my opinion) by girl about town, which I bought in honor of my friend magidah, who wears it to match her flaming fuchsia hair. :)

I do love fresh moroccan over red lip pencil. on its own it's a bit brown on me. jes - have you tried O? it's like a daytime version of fresh moroccan.

media can be lightened a bit by kissing tissue then slicking on a coat of love nectar lip glass

Another vote for Russian Red, and I looooove Pink Plaid over a brown liner or under a clear gloss during the day. YUM.

But I do not know this Fresh Moroccan you speak of (well, I guess I actually know a few, but not of the lipstick variety). I see a trip to a MAC counter in my future soon. My wallet is quivering.

MAC kills my wallet all the time. evil made up dressed in black with bitchen music playing demonesses..

Another vote for Ruby Woo! I also like rebel.

I love Fresh Moroccan! But, Velvet Teddy and Underplay are my hands down favorites!

Yeah, I smudge mine out with my fingertip to make it less dense. There's a lustre that is very close in colour to Media, that has that shine and translucence, but I've forgotten what it's called.

I paid my first visit to my MAC store last week, and it won't be my last.......

if you're planning on spending 50 bucks they'll do a makeup demo on you but ask for clean makeup brushes..

after zack was born i dropped like 350 on them in about 20 minutes..speaking of i have to feed him, party time is up for now, you guys have fun:)

You guys are killing me! I totaled up my make-up purchases for the year, was aghast, and decided not to buy any more make-up until January! Must. not. go. to. MAC. counter....

I'll see yer Russian Red and raise you a Dubonnet. It's fast becoming the Official Lipstick of Saffron Dance because I keep getting everyone hooked on it.

Ooo. I am already deeply in love with both Fresh Moroccan and Russian Red, but they are both just too much for non-dance situations. Now I have to go try O!

My absolute favorite is Viva Glam I - It's the exact kind of deep matte red I've been looking for for ages. I only recently discovered it and I can't stop wearing it!

I love Rocker myself. I have way too many MAC lipsticks that are all really similar to each other. I'm an addict though.

I love Dubbonnet and Russian Red, but I do not know of this Fresh Morrocan that you speak of. Must investigate. Anyone have favorite everyday/lighter shades? I love Half and Half, but am on the look out for more nudes!

I confess to being a MAC addict. My friend works at one of the stores and showed me the Morrocan Red - have not bought yet since I found one I liked better called Speak Louder, bright pinky red. I have all the colors you mentioned. I wear the bright reds on days I look like death and look like a million bucks after the swipe. So to me the price is worthy. Speak Louder is the new creme sheen which is pretty nice. I have always favored MAC mattes. I really love Chili too. Some of my favorite favorites have been discontinued. I love their lip pencils too.

**waves** Another MAC addict here...I love "O"! It's one of my favorite MAC lipstick colors. For every day shades, I really like Plum Dandy and Frenzy.

Now I gotta check out this Moroccan Red. I agree that Russian Red is not for daytime on me - it definitely works better in a night scene and especially when under the lights dancing. But I have to admit that their eye shadow is perfect - not only are the colors fantastic but their staying power surpasses all of the others. Think I'll make a trip to the MAC counter this week!

I am imagining a news report from next week.

After I posted I thought I remembered that. Now I have to remember to keep my tube super safe.

Does anyone have any recommendations for nudes for someone that has pretty highly pigmented lips? I have never been able to find the right one and can't wear one without a nude liner under it either. I used to put foundation on my lips to tone them down for nudes, but I'm lazy.

This is my case as well, I have highly pigmented lips. The half and half is just about as pale as I can go without looking odd.

I used to work in the cosmetics industry and they used to have something by Elizabeth Arden called Lip Fix. This would act as a primer and it helped with this. I don't know if they still have the product with this exact name but I think they have something like it. If not, you're just gonna have to take the extra time to use foundation which, I agree, is a pain.

Both Velvet Teddy and Underplay are nudes! Velvet Teddy is a pink nude, Underplay is a tan nude.
