Thread: wow i love neckelmanns

i went thru a stupid stage (during pregnancy) and sold off all of my neckelmanns, well it ended up working out since now my boobs are bigger..i just got one from Meena, pearl white, DD cup, it fits like a glove

no adjusting hooks
no sewing thru hard belt bases
no sizing at all

i put it on, secure it with a diaper pin, wear a sizzling silk skirt, and it's done

please if you are parting with a DD neckelmanns in good condition keep me in mind..i dont care for the long loops style because i like to wear circle skirts but the other ones are fine

love their old style carnival ones with V shape belts and V fringe

I'm so glad to hear you say this because I've been drooling over one of the purple ones for weeks. If it's still there on Dec. 21st then it'll be mine. Do you find the fit to be the same as your street bra size?

I'm not sure, I am meaning to ask Meena what size bra she ordered since this one is perfect

I had heard also that bigger breasted women may have trouble if the straps dont pull in enough to keep your boobs lifted or what not, but i have some saline boobs that squash just right into the cups. i waved arms around wildly and flung a veil around and no nipple peeking happened lol

I have heard some folks say they needed a cup size bigger and some said they ordered their street size and it was fine. I was also told that because they are real bras that larger breasted women need to reinforce the straps since they stretch and create a bit more bounce than wanted. Did you notice this?

i didnt notice a problem with bouncing at all..the straps were really snug but not biting into skin

i had no under or side boob ooze either

BUT i have fake boobs so maybe that helps?

I love Neckelmanns too!!! I bought a set super cheap that someone (also pregnant, I think) was selling on eBay. It has since become one of my absolute favorite costumes; I get so many compliments on it, and I have had some really stunning photos taken with it. Now I want to go order one in peacock colors! Maybe once I sell a costume or two I'll treat myself...

My students who've bought Neckelmann's get more compliments on them than the ones who've bought more expensive glass-beaded sets!! It's the amazing colors and brilliance, I think.

Not only from the GP but from other dancers, both students and pros. Only the small percent of people who hang out online seem to know that we're supposed to snub them because they're plastic.

They look GOOD and exciting!!! I loved mine.

(I did reinforce my straps with some grossgrain ribbon. Stretchy straps just aren't supportive enough for vigorous shoulder shimmies on my body. I only want the fringe to bobble around...)

my friend has an orange necklemans and she did reinforce the straps because she is a D/DD...she also cut out the padding. i tried it on but would need a larger cup size because it was more of a true D and i'm a true DD. overall i think it is a really pretty cossie : )

I have the peacock older style and love it. Very comfy and great fit. I cross the straps in the back which is easy since it was built on a convertible strap bra. Also removed some of the fring from the bra which was easy since each strand was separately sewn onto the bra. Very sparkly and I always get lots of compliments from GP and dancers.

I have only had one and I got it right before I lost a bunch of weight and it no longer fit. It was orange and pink--I ordered it custom in summer of '04! So festive and I loved it but I had to sell it.

It took a long time for the custom, but it was well made. I ordered a couple of other similar Brazilian sets from another vendor and I promptly returned them when I opened the box and it was FULL of beads before the costumes were even worn. Neckelmanns is good quality.
