Makeup advice for lowered stage
Hi Guys,
I'll be doing a show soon where the audience is seated on an incline, looking down at the stage area. I'm only used to people looking up at me, either on a stage or sitting at a restaurant table. Is there anything makeup wise that I should avoid--thick false lashes or something??? Or does it even make a difference? Hopefully It'll help break my usual habit of looking down when I'm concentrating on doing a cool move ..g.:

I've done this! No makeup advice, but you do have to practice looking up and out. My daughter and I did a duet and solos at a theater like this.. we actually drew smiley faces on paper napkins and taped them up near the ceiling and practiced looking at them when we rehearsed. Looking up actually changes your center of gravity and poses, and I even practiced spotting upward when I turned.

no changes for your makeup.
if you can, I always love it if I'm able to see somebody else on and off the same stage before the show, so you can see what the lights do to their makeup. that can help you adjust your own. or at least try to have a friend take a look at you on stage from the audience, to tell you if you need more blush or lips or whatever.

Hey sweetheart!
Since you're petite, BIG TEXAS HAIR. (it's back in fashion anyways).
Also avoid really long, heavy false eyelashes. If your audience is looking down at you, the lashes may throw shadows under your eyes, or obscure your eyes altogether. So be sure to adequately highlight (color correct if needed, and apply a slightly brighter shade of foundation or foundation with illuminators--Revlon Color Stay apparently makes great illuminators, UNLESS your skin around the eye area is textured, lined, etc. then don't use an illuminator) under and around the eye area to lift and brighten it since shadows may gather more in that area when seen from above.

Thanks so much!!! I'll work on getting my hair Dallas big (heehee) and will opt for some more natural lashes. I ran out of highlighter so I might check out Revlon :D
