Your Guide for Banging
I think this is great, especially for those of you considering/reconsidering going with the fringe...

Re: Your Guide for Banging
lol!
I love bangs but my stylist refuses to cut them on me, she says I wouldn't look good w/them :( The best I could do was to have a cheekbone-length layer I sweep to the side sometimes. I sweat when i dance anyways so I guess the hair plastered on the forehead look isn't too flattering

Re: Your Guide for Banging
I really do not understand why so-called adult women would associate the term banging with hair. Obviously you are all bald otherwise the hair you have at home would be quite exciting enough for you. Personally, as someone who has been around sexual activity for 25 years or so, I see nothing to do with hair when I see the term "bang". Banging is obviously about sex and violence. Also, all that hair you hanker after is gay. Now I shall retire to my thesaurus. Good day to you all.

What you're doing to that poor wee thesaurus is illegal in some states, D. Can't imagine what it ever did to deserve such abuse!

Now I am wondering what it says about me that my first thoughts were about somewhat out-of-control home improvement, a wild woman hitting randoms objects with a hammer, running all through the house ;-)

I do not like Iman's "Cleopatra" style, not on her anyway. The colour is unflattering and if someone as classically beautiful as Iman can look meh with a hairstyle then we have a problem!
I notice nearly all these cuts have a caveat for people with short foreheads, which is kind of depressing for us neanderthal types. All the more reason for wearing a short cropped textured sort of fringe I guess!

Re: Your Guide for Banging
I ditched my bangs about a year ago. I just couldn't handle the pressure to do something with them everyday. I don't have a forehead, I have a fivehead~

Re: Your Guide for Banging
I've had my asymmetrical bangs since June - I love them! I feel like they took years off my look. In the past I tried bangs a few times and they never worked for me. I don't know if aging somehow helped or that going asymmetrical was the secret.
As a plus (or minus) however you want to look at it. Since these new bangs everywhere I go men want to stop and talk with me - I seem to be more noticeable or interestng for some reason.

Re: Your Guide for Banging
ugh, i wish. i have 2 cowliks on either side of my large forehead which makes it impossible to keep my bands normal. they always spilt in the middle and get all unruly on me :( i've grown them to be chin length now so at least i can pin them back when they're being bad!

Zum, you are the wind beneath my wings. Seriously.
I often think about getting rid of my bangs, but I just can't seem to get through the "growing them out" stage without losing patience and chopping them off.

Re: Your Guide for Banging
I like bangs, but the problem is is that I get tired of them pretty quickly. Somehow they are not very versatile. Which is a problem because after you cut your bangs it will take weeks for it to grow back.
I think if your bangs are at eyebrow level or right above - they make you look younger, easily shave off 5 years. They open up your face.
But if the bangs go below your eyebrows (as in some of the pictures) they somehow close down your "eyes".
If the bangs are longer, but sort of messy, that can look sexy.
Do you guys remember Salesha from ANTM? I think the haircut they gave her made her look hideous, I don't know what they were thinking. It was not flattering.

I can't stand it when my bangs grow below my eyebrows! I know it's totally unfashionable, but having them in my eyes drives me nuts.
