Re: what happens to butts?
Well, I'm 42 and I think my ass is pretty hot. Not as big as I'd like, but it hasn't sagged yet. Neither have my boobs...g.:

Re: what happens to butts?
It depends on the individual. Keep eating right and excercise and you will stay fit for a long time.

Yes fit, however the collegen will loose its supporting roll over time...how much time? Depends on how much you go off roadwith out a bra on! My ass...while it has not drooped, has disappeared.

Re: what happens to butts?
Someone mentioned Suhaila glute squeezes for getting a great butt.
Also, flamenco dancers seem to have a good butt-firming regimen with all that stomping and footwork they do.

Re: what happens to butts?
Gravity!!!!!! + loss of collagen
Depends on genetics, how well you take care of yourself, how much time you spend upside down.and when exactly in the age chronology did it happen?
I always tell my yoga students (jokingly) that the reason we do so many inversions in yoga (shoulderstand, handstand, headstand, etc) is because gravity is the enemy. If you can spend enough time upside down, then maybe you can delay the inevitable.....g.:Last edited by Lauren_; 12-07-2008 at 11:27 PM.

Yup... gravity and collagen- the players.
Don't despair mine's not too bad in my sixties..keep squeezing! In fact ,him indoors refers to it as the "2 boulders" .And those gals up top are just starting the downward trend now. keep lifting!

Yes, the sands in my hourglass figure have definitely shifted downward these last 10 years. I drew the short straw genetically (pun intended). So, I embrace it. Big Bottomed Bellydancers unite! ..l;,

I'm in my 40's and have a rock-hard big ole badonkadonk, so I am really scared what will happen when it falls. Will it look like...mudflaps or something?
Makes me want to get out my "Spinal Tap" and sing along...

My mom is a senior citizen and she still has a nice butt. Pretty small, and I don't watch her naked, but I am going on her report. From the looks of her clothes though it looks like she's telling the truth. However, she does complain about the sagging boobs, but I am a firm (no pun intended) believer in underwires keeping them "perky" for adding to their life span. ..l;,

Re: what happens to butts?
I miss my firm 19 year old bubble butt. Now in my mid 30's it is starting to go flat and jiggly. Even working the glutes at the gym made no significant difference. I used to have such a fine arse *sigh*! I want it back. However, I expect the boobs will stay perky until I am ancient. ;o)

When reading this, I can't help but speculate what sort of ideas are flowing around Jes' head ;-) Wondering whether it is time to check her blog ...

Re: what happens to butts?
I know exactly where my butt is right now, resting comfortably just above the back of my knee. Yup, resting and plotting to slip closer to my ankles and heels. No way I could ever stand on my head enough to cause that much cellulite to change direction - even in zero gravity I fear it is hopeless. Sad but true.
