Making purchased costumes more conservative
Any makeover pictures? I'm looking to take some of my purchased sets and make them unqiue at the same time making more coverage without stopping the visibility of the movements like a lot of the netting. I use the fishnet stalkings and hop it up and it works just as good without the squashing or smoothing factor.

No, because I'm all about going O HAI BOOBS and O HAI I HAVE GOOD LEGS LOOK! with my costumes, but something that can work really nicely is if you make or buy a tank-style dress from a fairly light fabric, cut low in the bust, and put an old-style bedleh with it. Bra under the top, belt over the hips.
Little U-top deals with sleeves work nicely too, and if you want to cover more cleavage you can do wonders with a nice matching or toning scarf, stitched in place.

Oh I have too much boobs as well, but I don't care. All my bras are made from lingerie bras anyway so the cups cover reasonably well.

I frequently use the head band to add more coverage to the bra. I pin the centers together, the top of the cups, and the ends.
I also put chiffon or an equally light, flowing fabric in over slits in skirt.
I have several beaded crochetted dresses that I will wear over a costume, too.

Whenever I think a bra or skirt is "showing a little too much," I tend to run out and buy capri leggings & a dancer-choli top (think spandex-y, smooth, 3/4 or long sleeve and scoop neck for top) in a matching or coordinating color and simply wear those under the costume - that way I still get to show some form without showing other things....w.:
haha!

I'm reworking one of my Egyptian costumes. It bothers me like crazy that big cups still come with spaghetti straps. Reworking the straps to be thicker goes a long way toward making one's top half look less naked. sorry no pics yet.

oh wait! it's the pic in my profile, I just realized. I am afraid to wear it in public just now. Although it looks ok in certain poses, it acquires that flavor of the illegal when I actually try to dance in it.
The cups are rather small too, so I may add a border or something there. In my so-copious free time that is...
