Anyone got a Paganini lately?
I'm curious if anyone got a Paganini costume the last few weeks and how you liked it?
I ordered one (#13) beginning of the year, loved it but shrank out of it so I sold it. I orded the same model in different color now again it it just arrived. Though it is pretty it is quite different than the first one.
- There is no panel hanging from the side
- The top of the skirt is much smaller so it doesn't reach to below bottom but sits much higher. I hope this won't ride up while dancing 8(
- The top of the skirt is with elastics all around but not stiffened as I'm used to Bella or Paganini costumes. There is also no V-shape.
The motives are without cutouts like on my costume before and as I think I could see on the pics.
- The beading is unusual to what I know from Bella or Paganini with sequin-two beads-sequin-two beads-sequin. I think this has more action at a distance but it looks not so smooth, delicate and elegant.
Plus: it arrived without a tag. You could really think some good designer tried to copy the costume by seeing the pics without knowing the details.
I really have the feeling a seamstress in training did this one, it is well constructed but not so delicate and sophisticated as I'm used to

I have one that is on it's way. I am hoping it is ok. They sent it slow mail by accident...so it will take awhile to arrive..

Re: Anyone got a Paganini lately?
Just talked to Maria about it, it seems my costume was really done by a new seamstress.
Her first seamstresses were all trained by Bella so they sewed and beaded the "Bella-style" but she had to hire some more due to much work and some of them brought there own style with them.
I'll get the tag send after and a note to my customer card that for future orders she will give them to an other seamstress.
I think I will keep this costume for a while to earn it's money and have a new try somewhen next year to get it done "right" then.
Tanya I guess your order will be all right, your costume will probably not made by the same seamstress as she was bussy with mine...

I have one in the works right now.
Eep. I hope that it turns out alright. It's my first big costume splurge.

Hmm, I'd thought about ordering one after the first of the year. I'll make sure to request a bella-trained seamstress if I do!

Wow. This I call customer service.
Maria heared about me being unhappy with the costume read the post with all the details that were not right on it, phoned with Istanbul (as she is at the moment in Belgium) how this could have gone through and phoned me back to solve the problem.
I could have it redone to get perfectly what it should have been.
