Need color advice
I just received a pretty purple skirt from RavenaDesigns (more on the red purple side, not blue purple) for Christmas and since my closet is filled with blue/sage colors, I need some ideas on what to wear on top and across the hips. I already have black cholis and hip scarves, what colors would look good with it? I am so uncreative and one dimensional when it comes to pulling it all together so I need advice here. This is just for fun, not performing or anything.
I tend toward Autumn colors. Can't wear orange or yellow. Thanks all.
(By the way Love the skirt!! Ravena, my sister said you were so sweet, and thanks for throwing in the belly bindi's..g.:)

Re: Need color advice
Gold is great with purple, and I like purple & red together, too.

I like gold too but as for a top, I can't wear it next to my face. It washes me out. Keep 'em coming....

Re: Need color advice
Ooh Amity, I never thought of teal. I don't see much of that. All I am seeing is turquoise (not wild about). I thought I'd try and find a patterned beaded hip scarf in a color wash since the skirt is a solid. But then I don't know what to put on top. I don't want it to look too perfect, but want it to work together. I will search for teal....(opens new window to start looking...)

I love orange and yellow with purple, but since you don't like them, I second the bluish green/teal or a burgundy with blue undertones.

Re: Need color advice
i think it would be beautiful with a mixture of peacock colors. a top and belt/hip scarf with a mixture of blues / teals / greens with a few little touches of purple to pull the whole thing together

What type of hipscarves? Sharifwear has some pretty ones without coins.

Re: Need color advice
I just bought a purple paillette hip scarf from King of the Nile...I noticed that alot of their other ones are made out of patterned fabric. It stinks that they're in Egypt but it's worth the wait if (I've been looking for a purple paillette hip scarf for MONTHS!). Their prices aren't that bad, either.
